"Understanding the World"：Rethink the Globalization: Gain or Loss

 

   Since the 1980s, globalization has brought great challenges in the areas of Employment, Income Distribution, Climate Change and Environment, Agriculture and Culture. Recently, globalization has entered a new stage, rethinking the impact of globalization has aroused wide discussion around the world.

   In order to broaden students’ horizon, promote communication among students from different countries, and better the understanding of globalization, School of Economics will organize the 2^nd International Symposium on May 23.

All Ph.D students, graduate and undergraduate students in CUEB are welcome to sign for the symposium as a speaker.

Rethink the Globalization: Gain or Loss.

Time: 9: 00-11: 30 a.m., May 23

Location: Tian Lang Conference Room, Bo Yuan Building, West Campus

How to Participate:

Fill in the application form (Annex 1), attach a personal photo, and send documents to 1019965848@qq.com or 313635920@qq.com, deadline for application is 18:00 May 10^th, 2017.

Other Information:

• The selection will be mainly based on the application documents. No more than 9 speakers will be selected to give a speech on the symposium.
• Once selected as a speaker, a professor will be introduced to supervise the speech preparation for the symposium.
• Length of speech: no more than 15 minutes.

The Organizer：

    Understanding the World, the series of International Academic Activities, is organized by School of Economics, started from 2016. It consists of International Symposium and Academic Roundtable, and the two have become prestigious activities widely in the university. Essentially, the International Symposium is adhering to the principles of Academy, Inclusiveness and Innovation, and the Academic Roundtable is upholding the spirit of Mutual Learning and Profound Discussion to create such an academic platform where International students could deepen understanding of the world. At present, School of Economics has successfully held 5 activities on the platform which is playing a pivotal role to promote the international communication on campus.
